Toledo Jr/Sr High

In culmination of their effort, courage, and growth this season, the Toledo HS Girls Soccer team won their final game of the season against Newport HS 1-0!!! It was a fiercely competitive game with both teams playing well, but the Boomers finally scored with 15 minutes left to secure their most impressive victory of the season. What a fantastic, thrilling end to a historic season! We could not be happier for these young women. Additionally, in a short ceremony before the match, we honored our five seniors: Mindy Blomstrom, Tenaya Cordova, Sahaylee Mason, Kaylie Warfield, and Gabby Worden. Thank you to all the students, staff, friends, families, and community members who came out to the game to support the team. It's been quite a ride building a program from the ground up, but we are so excited to see what the future holds for Toledo Soccer moving forward!

The Toledo Soccer Team made history AGAIN last night! Defeating the Taft HS Tigers 6-0, they marked their first win in school history! Playing confidently, aggressively, positively, and collaboratively, the girls truly impressed. Goals were scored by Sahaylee Mason, Nevaeh Archer, and Holly Pettis, with several other players earning assists. Congrats, girls— we’re so proud of you!

Recently, our historic Toledo HS Soccer Team was invited to attend a Portland Thorns professional soccer match. The Thorns organization kindly and graciously paid for our athletes and their parents/guardians to travel to Portland to watch an exciting 2-1 win! We also witnessed history in the making, as the Thorns inducted their first Hall of Famer, Christine Sinclair, in a special pre-match ceremony. Everyone had a blast and made lifelong memories, and we are so thankful for the positive energy and support our team is receiving from our local community and beyond. This is such an exciting time for soccer and women's sports!
